Manage a lesson

To manage a lesson, go to the lesson Web page...

  1. From the "Dashboard" press the team button.
  2. Choose the lesson category by pressing the appropriate button.
  3. Press the button with the name of the lesson to be managed.
Add content to a slide
Step 1
  1. Use the button to view the video sequence to be documented on the slide.
  2. If necessary, change the order of the lesson’s slides using the button on the right on the slide line container to move it up or down in order to have the desired slides order.
  3. Press the slide title button to create or modify its content and to modify the characteristics of the associated action.
Step 2
  1. Change the title of the slide.
  2. Add the learning content associated to the video sequence to the slide text body.
  3. Use the drop-down list to assign the action to a player, group of players or a team.
  4. Use the drop-down list to change the type of action.
  5. Use the arrows to increase or decrease the start time and the stop time of the video sequence.
  6. Use the various buttons to modify the characteristics specific to the action.
  7. Press the icon to register the changes to the action characteristics or the icon to ignore the changes.
  8. Press the "Save" button to save the changes to the slide or the "Delete" button to delete the slide. To ignore the modifications use the "Lesson" back arrow to return to the lesson Web page.
Add a drawing to the video sequence
In the lessons, for each of the slides, it’s possible to change the video sequence length and to add several drawing overlays at different points in time on the video sequence.
Step 1
  1. Press the icon in the slide line container to which one or more drawings must be added in overlay to the video sequence.
Step 2
  1. See the “Use the drawing tool” tutorial. Adding a drawing can be done at any time while watching a video sequence by pressing the icon in the viewer controls.
Upload a document in a lesson
Step 1
  1. Press the "Browse" button to choose a document to add to the lesson. Supported document formats are PDF, JPG, JPEG, PNG and GIF.
  2. Press the "Upload" button to upload the document to the Hockey Game Theory servers. The document will be available to the coaches, staff and players while viewing the lesson.
Step 2
  1. Confirm that the uploaded file is displayed at the bottom of the slides.
Update the lesson information
Step 1
  1. Press the lesson name button to change the information.
Step 2
  1. Change the name of the lesson.
  2. Use the drop-down menu to change the lesson category.
  3. Modify the description of a lesson.
  4. Edit the link to the website associated to the lesson, this link will be available when the coaches, staff and players are viewing the lesson.
  5. Press the "Save" button to save the changes or the "Delete" button to delete the lesson. To ignore the changes use the "Lesson" back arrow to return to the lesson Web page.
